We are excited to have you join us for the New Faculty Experience (NFE) the week of August 17-20. Vanguard’s NFE is designed to equip incoming resident faculty members with the foundations for a flourishing career at Vanguard. This week is just the first part of a broader professional development program, which will continue throughout your first year.

The New Faculty Experience helps establish co-mentoring relationships to support a greater understanding of how Vanguard is structured and how shared governance contributes to decision-making.

THE NEW FACULTY EXPERIENCE COMMUNITY

The composition of faculty who will be joining the New Faculty Experience varies widely. Some of you have been teaching for some time, while others have considerably less experience in a higher education context. The program has been designed to accommodate varying levels of experience. We will emphasize relationship-building, the Vanguard culture, important (and useful) pedagogical beginnings, and various nuts-and-bolts that will help you hit the ground running. We aim to form a learning community together that extends far beyond the days we will spend together in mid-August.
