Dr. Alicia Jackson

Alicia Jackson joined Vanguard University as a full-time faculty member in the Fall of 2018, after teaching adjunct at Vanguard since 2010. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Music with an emphasis on vocal performance from Corban University, a Bachelor of Theology from Life Pacific College, a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies with an emphasis on Old Testament from Vanguard University, and a Ph.D. specializing in Biblical Studies from The University of Birmingham, England. Her areas of interest include Pentecostal hermeneutics and theology, Old Testament ethics, theology of Israel/Palestine, and peacemaking and reconciliation. Alicia is a member of the Society for Pentecostal Studies, and she is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God. Alicia loves equipping and encouraging the next generation of leaders as they pursue God’s calling on their lives, and her heart’s cry is, “All of the Word and all of the Spirit!” She and her husband Paul also lead worship together, and they live in San Clemente, with their son, Gabriel, and their canine child, Barney. Alicia’s favorite verses are Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways know Him, and He will direct your paths.”
