Dr. Tommy Casarez

Associate Professor of Historical and Systematic Theology

Dr. Casarez earned his PhD in Theological ethics from Princeton Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity Degree from Fuller Theological Seminary and has a Master of Theological Studies Degree from Yale University Divinity School.    He is a Vanguard alumnus, awarded the Vanguard University Alumni of the Year Award in 2014.  Dr. Casarez has been a public school teacher in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District, Regional Director of Leadership Development for the Urban Youth Workers Institute in Santa Ana, Director of the Jesse Miranda Center for Hispanic Leadership of Vanguard University, president and professor of theological ethics at LABI College, and pastor of training and spiritual formation at Templo Calvario Church in Santa Ana.
