With the announcement that Flip (formerly Flipgrid) will be discontinued, many of our faculty who rely on this video discussion platform are looking for alternatives to seamlessly integrate into their teaching practices. Here are a couple of great alternatives to consider:
1. Canvas Studio in Canvas Discussions
We highly recommend the use of Canvas Studio as an excellent built-in alternative for faculty as it allows users (both faculty and students) to create, edit, and share videos directly within Canvas Discussions.
2. Padlet
Padlet is a versatile platform that allows students to post videos, images, text, and more on a collaborative board. It’s highly interactive and can be used within discussions, brainstorming sessions, and project collaborations, much like you did with Flip.
