Easy Setup and Recording: Faculty members enter the Video Suite with a USB drive in hand. By simply inserting the USB drive into the computer, the lights automatically come on, and all necessary equipment is ready for use. When the faculty member is in place, they can press a foot pedal to start recording. Pressing the foot pedal again stops the recording, and they can take the USB drive with them to upload the video onto platforms like Canvas Studio or any other video platform for their students.

Streamlined Workflow: This external USB solution ensures that T+L staff do not need to maintain faculty files, and IT does not have to manage permissions and network processes. This creates a streamlined and efficient workflow with minimal oversight required.

Versatile Presentation Options: Faculty can load a PowerPoint presentation onto the computer, which can either show as a picture-in-picture alongside the video of themselves or take up the entire background as they record, similar to a meteorologist on the news.

Innovative Tools: The room includes an iPad Pro that faculty can use to “cast” a whiteboard as they annotate it as their video source or to run specialized apps specific to their discipline, such as anatomy, simulations, or computer science.

Professional Quality: The background is replaced in real time, eliminating the need for postproduction. Ceiling-mounted microphones and lights, along with wall-mounted sound treatments, create a professional video without the need to wear an awkward microphone or constantly adjust lights or cameras, making it perfect for self-service use.
